Cinque Terre

The first place I went in Italy was Cinque Terre.  It is made up of five towns along the coast that are connected by a hiking path.  There is also a train track that runs through each one and makes traveling between the towns very easy.  We stayed in a cute little hostel with a view of the ocean from our bedroom window.  On the first day there, the weather was horrible.  It was freezing and rainy, and the ocean was so violent.  We spent most of the day outside exploring each of the towns.  We took the train in between them because the hiking path was closed due to the weather.  Each town was similar but different, and it was really fun to walk around each one and to see how people live there.  The locals were all so friendly and I loved the atmosphere of the little towns.

On the second day, the weather was so much nicer.  It was sunny and about 20 degrees warmer which made sightseeing actually enjoyable.  We spent time in the morning exploring the town that our hostel was in and took some amazing pictures.

Then, we went back to our two favorite towns and spent the afternoon exploring in the sunshine.  We had amazing food for lunch and dinner and then headed to the train station around 6pm for our train to Florence.
